My 1910 sold the first day I put it up via the Buy it Now option and I ended up making about $20 profit. Now I just need to add my next month Geek pay and I’ll have enough for my new iPaq which should be available sometime this summer. So I will be without a Pocket PC for a while, which is ok considering I have the Zire 71 to review for 30 days anyway. I will also be going on a cruise to Aruba for a week to help with my loss. I tried web browsing with the Newton 2000 on my home network last night and it is just agonizingly slow compared to my CLIE or Z, although email is functional. I don’t know if I will keep the Newton much longer since I can’t really justify its use, but I am a big Apple fan and it looks cool.

Well, my 1910 is now up on ebay and comes with a MMC card, premium Bellagio leather case and an extra USB sync-charge cable. I just returned from a long weekend of camping at the ocean with my family. It was my oldest daughter’s 9th birthday and we had a blast. Upon returning home I found a Fedex box containing the review unit of the new Palm Zire 71. I opened it up and began taking photos right away and my first impressions are that this baby is FAST! I have 30 days to review it for PDAGeek.

Last night I went to our local user group meeting and we had a guest from HP. I have seen the future of the iPaq and as a result my 1910 is up for sale. Look for some great things from HP this year! I am under NDA so can’t give you any more details. While the 1910 is a nice device, I am getting tired of not being connected and not being able to use all my CF accessories. If you are interested I have a complete package including a Bellagio leather case and extra USB cable for sale.

I am anxiously waiting for the FedEx guy to arrive with my PC WiFi card so I can get my Newton 2000 connected to my home 802.11b network. My Sony NX70V rocks with NetFront on WiFi and I can use the same CF card in my Zaurus, although I still can’t get it to connect using the Sharp ROM. I did have it working with the OpenZaurus 3.2 ROM, but missed all the other applications and stability. My poor iPaq 1910 has no connection abilities and I use it primarily as my PDA that I carry and conduct Pocket PC reviews. The size and screen are amazing, but it really isn’t a power users toy and I find myself yearning for a better Pocket PC. I am going to wait until the new 2003 OS comes out.

Wow, Palm just officially announced the release of the Zire 71 and Tungsten C. The C looks incredible with its 400MHz XScale and 64MB of RAM. I thought about getting one to try and use their 30-day return policy since they won’t send a review unit to us at PDAGeek, but with my upcoming cruise to Aruba I just won’t have the time to review it. I really do have a problem, please help (by sending more PDAs

Welcome to the home of my rants, raves, and experiences with my current crop of PDAs. I have an Apple Newton Message Pad 2000, iPaq 1910, Sony CLIE NX70V, and Sharp Zaurus SL-5500. I am a writer and reviewer for PDAGeek so come visit me there as well.
