I am going to Gnomedex 5.0 tonight since I couldn’t pass up this event being held here in my own backyard. I’m probably one of the only ones who actually rode the bus in to the city for the event, but parking is way too much of a hassle and I like the one hour downtime on the bus to chill out. There is a kick-off registration reception sponsored by Google tonight and then two full days of activities with some of the best bloggers out in cyberspace.
I am hoping to win the Mac Mini or an iPod Shuffle since the odds are better than one in 300 (max number of attendees) and I am a pretty lucky guy, which is why my friends call me Forrest sometimes. There is already quite a list of goodies that I should be able to score as well.
It will be great to meet so many people I have been reading or emailing face-to-face as well, which is really the best part of events like these. I also plan on learning quite a bit since I am still a newbie to this blogging thing.
