Used over 85MB of data last month on my mobile devices

My wireless data usage went up significantly last month and I attribute this to using the HTC Wizard and Treo 650 extensively with the EDGE data speeds. I generally see about 40MB of usage and this last month I used just over 85MB of data. Thankfully, I have the $20 unlimited T-Mobile data plan and so far T-Mobile has not increased the rates for EDGE use. I don’t know if they will change this since even faster UMTS and HSDPA networks will be rolling out soon from Cingular.

I’ve been using about 80-95MBs per month for the last six months on my N-Gage… Surfing, email, RSS, IM… The thing that worries me is that I don’t have unlimited plan as they are not available in Finland. I pay about 19 euros per month for 100MBs and after that it gets REALLY expensive!!!

That’s really not too bad! In Canada, Bell and Telus Mobility are charging $100 per month!!! This is called an unlimited plan but is actually capped at about 300mb. Obviously that’s a lot but they should bother calling it “unlimited”.

Data in Canada is still WAY too expensive!!!!!!! Hopefully the carriers will come in line with the rest of the world soon!

I got hit with a big bill some time back because i thought I had an unlimited plan and didnt. I made note to change that now that I am a treo 600 toting guy.

Hopefully, it will not be too expensive at all in teh future, and maybe pay one feel and get unlimited wireless whether you are connecting EDGE, HSPDA, or wifi.
