Winner of i-mate JAQ3 is picked

I was quite surprised by the low number of responses for the contest and I wonder if people just didn’t want an i-mate JAQ3, they didn’t want to do a little work for a US$500+ device, or there isn’t that many people that read my ZDNet blog. Anyways, I had 40 people send in their answers of which 35 of you actually got all 12 right. Good work everyone. I appreciate your kind comments and it sounds like most of you had a bit of fun finding all the keyboards.

I used a random number generator from http://www.random.org to select a number between 1 and 35 and then counted the emails from 1st received until last received. The winning number was 23 and that was Timothy’s number. I am sending an email to Timothy and will be shipping the JAQ3 out this week.

Thanks everyone for sending in responses. In the future, I’ll have to hold any giveaways here since ZDNet is still working out legal issues, etc.

UPDATE: I posted the answers on ZDNet, but here they are for my blog readers too. Here were the devices that are associated with each keyboard:

1: BlackBerry 8700 (From Rogers in Canada)
2: Treo 700 (w or wx)
3: BlackJack (Samsung i607)
4: HTC TyTN or Cingular 8525
5: BlackBerry Pearl (or 8100)
6: Sharp Zaurus SL-5500
7: Nokia E61
8: i-mate K-JAM (HTC Wizard/QTEK 9100)
9: T-Mobile Dash
10: i-mate JAQ3
11: Motorola Q
12: Treo 650

Thanks… that was fun. Great contest in my opinion. I’ve actually owned or used for a short time 6 of those devices.

MUST HAVE KEYBOARDS on mobile devices I always say.

Hallelujah, thank you LORD Jesus and thank you Matt!

I just have to share that I just lost my cell phone last Friday and I cried to God about it tonight at the altar call during church. I left my burden with Him. Then I came home to Matt’s email – I’m just stunned and I marvel at how God works.

Thanks a lot for the fun scavenger hunt as well as for the JAQ3!

    LORD Bless,
    -Timothy

    Hey Matt,

I wanted to enter but I couldn’t get one those keyboards, so I didn’t enter. Could you let us in on what the actual keyboards were?

    God Bless,

    Karon

    Timothy,

Sounds like you needed this win more than most (especially me, I have plenty of phones). This is just another great example of how the Lord provides.

    Bless you brother…. Joe

Nice one Timothy. I’m glad to see I was one of only 35 correct entries. Also a little sad ‘cos that would have been one sweet prize.
Still thanks for giving us a shot at this Matthew. Your generosity was inspiring.

    Thanks Matt,

Glad to see I got all 12 correct (it took a bit of research) and it was great fun. Well done to Timothy.

Hope you are able to do another one soon.
